The search bar (top of the window) does more than filename matching. OY.Surf builds a hybrid index: a semantic vector index (so you can search by what an image depicts) plus lexical and OCR text.

Search by meaning

Type a description — "dark UI dashboard", "person at a desk" — and OY.Surf ranks by visual meaning, not just filenames. The toggle marked AI search — by meaning switches semantic ranking on.

Search inside images

Because OCR text is indexed, searching a word that appears in a screenshot or design will find it.

Scope & filters

Search works inside Quick folders and Smart folders too, and combines with the type filter. Recent searches are remembered.
