Lenses

Palette, OCR, scenes and AI descriptions for any file.

Select a file and the right panel shows lenses — different ways to read it. The info lens shows metadata (kind, size, dimensions, path, rating).

What the lenses surface

• Palette — the dominant colors of an image.
• OCR — text found inside the image (Apple Vision), which also feeds search.
• Scenes — for video, key scenes read and described.
• Describe — an on-device vision-language model writes what's in the image, powering semantic search.

Lenses run on-device. They populate as the models finish; nothing about your files leaves the Mac.
