OY.Surf is on-device first: generation, editing, search, lenses and dictation all run locally and free. Cloud is strictly opt-in.

Choosing a provider

A global provider switch (on-device vs cloud) appears wherever AI runs. On-device costs nothing and works offline. Cloud uses your own key (BYOK) and is metered by that provider.

Supported cloud

• OpenRouter — for chat/vision and routing to many models.
• OpenAI — image generation and editing (gpt-image-1) with the canvas toggle.
